lorddulaarsenal to be honest I think they also were referring to some big pee-pee attacking signings to rival PSG's, but it just hasn't worked out.

QuincyAbeyie and to be fair, PSG really did a great job hoovering up half the elite attacking talent in the world. Getting to that elite talent rigtt he now, my best hopes are Saka and Eventually Dowman. I will welcome a good player like a Yildiz, but I’m under no illusion that we are going to be handed Balon D’Or forwards.

If Saliba is really out long term then we did need someone as not sure what we'd have done if Mosquera went down too. At the price I assume he's coming on ahead of Mosquera for now. Signing experience from within the league was always something Wenger didn't want to do. His debut could be away at Villa.

I really like this move. Watching videos, looking at numbers. This is a ready defender who alllows us to let Saliba return to full fitness. And Timber too.

I think this will end up being a very good signing, as frustrating as the attacker situation is making a lot of us feel right now.

My one complaint is we've added a slappable face to the team.

This is the kind of responsible transfer your dad tells you to make when you're leaving high school and contemplating the life ahead of you. A sign we're not being run my morons overall. We'd better transfer Ben White out as soon as we can, even though I love him.

Burnwinter not now though. Even with Konsa, we are 1-2 injuries away from chaos in the back. Rest of the team is fine. We have guys like Merino, Eze, Havertz etc who could fill multiple roles easily in the event of injuries

Claudius Fully agree—it's been frustrating how our commitment to versatility and our stockpiling of relatively injury-prone players has led us to the point that even with our insanely stacked defensive ranks, we still need to sign another £60m Swiss Army knife.

Are we though? I mean, we have White, Timber (will be back in a couple weeks), Mosquera, Saliba (obviously he's the reason we signed Konsa), Gabriel, Hincapie, Calafiori, Konsa, Salmon (if absolutely needed), MLS (if its a real emergency)

Thats like saying any team is 1-2 injuries away from being chaos at the back. We're certainly in a better position to absorb a couple injuries than almost any other team on the planet.

Claudius we are 1 injury away from chaos in goal. 2 injuries away from a disaster at CF. There are only so many contingencies you can account for.

I do think we have right number of players at the back now. Its 2 for each position. I do think we need one reliably fit right back though and I'd replace White given the opportunity but I doubt that's happening in this window. Probably next summer.
