Big opportunity for Dowman to stake a claim and prove he can be a Yamal level talent. He could end up being the solution we've been searching for in attack but there are way too many holes in his game at the moment and so unless something changes drastically I don't see him being a major contributor this season.

I also expect Madueke will still be ahead of Max on the right.

True but Max certainly has the ability to push him out of that role, and I expect he'll be given opportunities in the cups to do so

Still a great squad more than capable of winning the league. You could argue Eze was originally signed as a LW and he’s had a year to adapt to Arteta.

Mirth and in case of injury I'd imagine. About 2 weeks after he left last time we had an injury crisis and all wanted him back.

daredevil its pretty obvious the subs not are to save people. Rice and Odegaard especially. If they don't get proper rest that's just going to keep happening. Rice needs a proper break. If I was them I'd try to get him out of the international break altogether. Fake an injury and pull him from the game before to sell it.

I think we're likely to see more of the same. 3 midfield subs every game with a forward and defender being 4th and 5th. That would leave us with most likely 1 attacking sub a game so given the choice between playing Gyokeres, reducing Saka's minutes and Tzolis/Eze rotating - whatever out of the three doesn't happen is likely to be the cause of much complaints this season.

Anyone fancy a short-term (12 mo / pay-as-you-play) contract for Sancho (assuming he is willing of course). I don't see the downside if we can persuade him to sign a 12 mo contract.

I just see him as the Christian Norgaard of our LW with maybe some remote potential to regain the promise he showed during his youth and at Dortmund. Of course he's not a like-for-like with Barcola, etc. In keeping with the "squad depth" thread topic is all.

There's no way he would take that kind of a deal. He's the once-golden boy darling and probably still has that mindset, i cant see him accepting that kind of a deal. He would be guaranteed no money that way. Im pretty sure if he would accept that, like Qwiss said, he'd be at a new club already.

That said, if we offered some ridiculously low weekly wage, we could take a punt.. I mean, could he really be any worse than Sterling was for us? Dont think its physically possible. Lol.

I do not know much about Sancho, but I find it staggering that a guy who was on track to become the best English player of his generation is looking to join Brazilian football. Something has gone horribly wrong for him, as we've seen with Dele Alli previously. Wouldn't touch him. We have too much at stake for rehab jobs.
