Doc the hope last year was that Zubimendi would help Odegaard stay higher up the field. That never really transpired and I'm not sure if that's a result of Odegaard going off the boil, or Zubi's (or Ode's) role in Areta's approach not aligning with that tactic.
I'm still reminiscing about how much better our attack looked when Partey was at the base and consistently fed Odegaard/Saka higher up the field. That may be rose tinted memory, but it does seem that Odegaard and Saka have been coming deeper and deeper in the last year or two.
