Great floor-raising signing if it goes ahead, a better one than Eze in that sense.
In terms of our midfield this is kicking the can of the farther future down the road, but could be optimising the usefulness of Rice, Ødegaard and Zubimendi for a few seasons. Looking at Bruno's attributes I think Rice is probably the last of those three he'd be able to rotate effectively. I think his renowned aggression distracts from him being much more of an on-the-ball player.
This signing if it happens will refocus us on the questions about how Eze, Merino and Nwaneri fit into our plans. I don't see those three needing to be moved on, but they'll be part-time contributors if this works out.
