It's more like an RVP situation but less painful - one good season and he fucks off

But it was a larger situation of contracts running down because wenger refused a sporting director and only when dein left that this started happening

Gunner89 contracts were not running down. That's why Cesc and RVP had to pull massive stunts to get out of the club. They had plenty of contract left. Nasri had plenty too. I remember Wenger assuring everyone we wouldn't lose both Nasri and Fabregas in the same summer. Dark days.

But we need to make sure this guy gets significant game time that does not get in the way of us winning. He has to work on his game same way as Nwaneri.

It's the age old classic tale of people getting super excited about a kid over a small sample size only for that player to then average out as they play more.

I've seen this script play out a million times and yet without fail, people still continue to fall for it.

It's not that Dowman or Nwaneri aren't obviously talented, it's that young players are highly inconsistent which makes them unreliable first team squad players.

He will become more consistent with age but we're some way off that right now.

Fergie's mentality was get the best players and he'd do the rest, he didn't give a shit if they overpaid get him what he wants. All those trophies bought in unprecedented commercial success so the players paid for themselves. We don't buy stars we make them became our unofficial motto, ended up being the reason we crashed out the way we did as well!

daredevil for our own players, we are incredibly optimistic despite the evidence right in front of us that very few kids both break through and have sustained careers. in the current team it's only Saka and Saliba and we have had tons of folks come and go like Nketiah, ESR, Balogun, and others who never even got to the top like Azeez, the Salah-Edines, etc.

Cesc Fabregas is the least charismatic guy out there. Never heard him say anything genuine, only tired cliches he thinks people want to hear. Everything about him is fake.

Gurgen he’s a very good pundit, speaks better than some of his English counterparts.

You have to have something about you to be 17 and get in a team full of alphas. Being named captain at 21 is another achievement. Doing what he’s doing at Como where they are 6 years ahead of schedule is another.

He is clearly well respected in the game. When he talks, people listen.
