Wenger achieved tons of success and made us a household name globally, in large part because he had relatively unchecked power. he was able to run everything from scouting to recruiting, to matchday ops, training, game management. he was lord of Arsenal, and through his wits we won. but after the move from Highbury, that began to fall apart. and it's not just about the board not supporting him - he actively shaped a transfer strategy that precipitated our downfall.
these boys were employees, getting paid a lot of money. it's perfectly normal that if they should look at Wenger and Gazidis and not see a path to success, that they should want to leave. why should you stick around for a project you have on faith in? and note that this is not a once-off. multiple people left in a short time frame. clearly this was not a compelling project at all. as i said, RVP did not cover himself with glory. just quietly fuck off and ideally don't go to our biggest rival
