Qwiss Yep, I think the big issue with both of them were that they were snakes but also concerned about legacy. You can't have it both ways unfortunately. You can't tell the fans how much you love the club while you're stabbing it in the back. No players were ever treated better by the fans and the club than those two either, except Thierry. They should ask themselves what's different, why no one harbors any ill will towards Henry for leaving.
In a lot of ways both Fabregas and van Persie were part of a new, more selfish generation of players that has been the norm ever since. I think van Persie in particular really let Wenger down, and Wenger has indicated as much every now and then. He probably thought they had the relationship he and Bergkamp had.
