Was never sold on him, especially as a LW. But this does worry me a bit if he was our number one priority as it’s been reported. Wouldn’t be the first time we’ve missed out on a target and personally I’m not sure where we go from here as I am definitely not convinced Barcola is worth anything close to 100m. Probably a bullet dodged at this price but if we can’t bring in a good LW other than Tzolis then I think it’s a failure.

I don't really care about what The Hand thinks, but I reckon there are excellent reasons not to let Arteta blow all the cash on whatever player he fancies this month. Morgan looked like a dubious bet and a bad deal for the quoted fee right from the start, and I think this is precisely the kind of situation where you need to have a strong sporting director who doesn't end up getting steamrolled by Villa.

people are missing the forest for the trees here. you may not have liked rogers as a player, but he was clearly the clubs number 1 target and they've failed to get him. what this has shown is the club isn't executing in the market, and its not the first time this summer. we seem to be trying to slow roll bruno g as well, which could also backfire. what if you guys dislike the number 2,3, and 4 options on our list if deals like rogers and bruno collapse? what we're seeing should worry people

Our 2nd or 3rd option from Mudryk turned out to be 1000x better. Buying the flavour of the month from your own league is lazy recruiting
