Yeah. I'm very excited by this signing tbh. Haven't seen much, but what I have seems very promising. Good touch, capable of shifting it with both feet and able to get separation for shot. Like you said, he may be the surprise package for us this season considering most don't expect him to do much.

He’s the sort of player Bournemouth or Brighton sign and then sell on for 60-70m a season later.

I don’t expect him to have a big impact in the first half of the season as he adapts but he can grow into the role after Christmas

Mirth Crystal Palace were chasing him heavily last season but Bruges weren't interested. They were going to try again this summer before Arsenal came in and the player was only focused on that move. I think it is a very smart signing.

Will be interesting to see if we can start to involve our left flank more in our attack. Last season, I just felt the LW was isolated - limited link up with our LB or midfield.

Been saying it but this was one of the more confidence-boosting aspects of this signing compared to Vieira. We're getting past the point of 60kg players often flourishing in the Premier League.

Looks like the absolute perfect replacement for Trossard and an output machine. I’ve said it before but I def get vibes of Diogo Jota from him. Versatile, output focused attacker.

DKGooner LW has been quite disjointed since Xhaka left.

We’ve had good performances and impact there but it’s largely been driven by individuals rather than an effective structure between our LB, left 8, and left winger.

Rice is one hell of a player, but he’s not who I think will knot together a cohesive channel/wing like Odegaard has done with Saka/White.

I’ve been curious if MLS can do that, or if we can find a consistent LB/LW partnership that has a solid partnership and balance.

Left side is a problem for years , moreso tactically . When is the last time we have had a fullback consistently overlap and get ahead of our left sided wide man ? Teams know Hincapie won't do it , and Calafiori / MLS almost always come inside so they have it easier defensively.

GooneriC hardly anyone plays with overlapping full backs. We create most of our chances with Calafiori or MLS inverting to begin with so it’s not easier for teams to defend against them.

I am hopeful that Calafori staying fit and and MLS being integrated into the team can mitigate the overwhelming right side dominance of the team we have at the moment. Maybe this is also impacted by Gabriel's limited ability with the ball from defence. Will have to see where Arteta positions Tzolis and see if this differs from how he used Trossard.
