Bored of the Gyok vs Havertz debate. Both clearly far from perfect players but both suit certain fixtures, situations and game states. Gyok has shown he clearly doesn't let (or even pay attention to) what people are saying and thinking affect him - and I rate that - and Havertz has a habit of popping up at big moments. I expect both will offer more next season, injuries permitting. I don't really want to get rid of either.. our priority should be getting Jesus out by any means necessary and replacing him with a player that has potential to take the number 1 spot. Who that is, I don't have a fucking clue. But I'm not paid the big bucks to figure it out.. All 3 probably won't be happy with the lay of the land following that, but then you deal with it next Sumner.
As we are now, selling and replacing 1 means we are 1 lengthy injury away from more of the same. "But we won the league!" Yes we did. And I'm buzzing from that as much as anyone, believe me.... but if there are actions we can take to control things, that lower the chance of me going through winning the league in a fashion that causes a bout of some kind of weird depersonalisation/realisation episode as a result of the trauma :.... I'm all about that.
