Sounds like it will be a permanent deal which absolutely sucks..

I have serious concerns for our attack going forward, far from convinced Berta an Arteta know what they are doing on that front... we filled up our attack with bunch of average players last season and people called it raising the floor... well, do that in a few more transfer windows while letting our most talented youngsters leave to accommodate them and this 'raised' floor becomes the new average level.

Have defended Noni but if we sell either Marti or Nwaneri (particularly if it's for less money), questions have to be asked.

My only hope is that there's a big attacking signing waiting in the wings. My guess would be Barcola but who knows at this point.

The problem with Madueke looking so poor - like Jesus - is that no one will buy him. We're stuck.

Klaus why would I have blind trust in people who overpaid Jesus, signed Madueke, etc These people are not infallible.

Qwiss They're not infallible but they have a pretty good idea of whether a player is going to make it or not when they work with these guys every single day. I can't think of any sales that they've gotten wrong. Nwaneri is a big call though; on talent alone he's probably one of the best we've ever produced. But talent is not even a top three reason for elite footballers to make it. Anyway when you win a league title you earn the right to make these kind of decisions.

Zubimendi. Not because I don't think he's an excellent player - he is - but because he is an excellent player we can sell him for real money and we don't need him.

The problem last season was that Rice and Zubimendi played too much. Even if MLS and Bruno halve that load they’ll still play 2,000+ minutes if we’re serious about competing across all fronts

For what it's worth, Arteta's said that Martinelli and Nwaneri not being in the squad has nothing to do with transfers and everything to do with squad size limits...🤷‍♂️

Don Pacifico him saying that Martinelli and Nwaneri don't make his preferred match day squad sounds like it has a lot to do with potential transfers if you ask me.

Nope, Nwaneri will leave for football reasons. The pattern has been consistent: understandably he wants to play, understandably we don't give him any guarantees. My guess is we'll see why if we ever see a Premier League club make him a regular. The club doesn't indulge in vendettas against players these days. Remember the case of Smith Rowe: he set the world on fire for a couple of seasons but when he started to be left out, it wasn't because of private beef, it was just that he didn't quite have the edge.

Gunner89 That's the trouble, it's not about levels, it's about the completeness of the player and the level Arsenal is at.

Looks to me that at Arsenal Nwaneri lacks the physicality to get wing minutes, and the vision to get midfield minutes. Despite all the moaning fans invariably do about these situations when it's a Hale End lad, he looks very unlikely to get chances with us, and it looks unlikely a loan will change it.

I like Nwaneri and I don't think he's got an attitude either, the tension surrounding his place at Arsenal is normal for a football problem. But when Arsenal lets young players like this leave, fans often realise they were fighting for a fantasy that wasn't quite complete in real life.

Burnwinter Fully agreed. As many people have said earlier, a sale at a decent price with a tight buyback clause and a sell on % is the best thing we can do with Nwaneri, much like Real's arrangement with Como for Nico Paz.

I think stick Nwaneri into the team instead of Madueke and you will see the attack lift a level.
