Big Willie Champ Romero, Martinez x2, Enzo Fernandez, McAlister. What a thotoughly hateable set of players they've got.
Had to be the first two on my list, Martinez and Romero, scoring from Arsenal type corners to make things worse. Fuck me.
I'll be honest I've never warmed to Argentina as a national team or a country even though I liked a few of their players back in the day like Batistuta, Ortega, Lazio Veron, and Aimar, but hated the rest.
The feeling I had at the time, which may or may not be right but it's how I felt (and was probably influenced by the media as a preteen/teen), was that they were thugs who fouled everyone and everything, and dived and rolled on the floor every time they felt a gentle breeze.
