I can understand Havertz being key for Germany (he's a starter for them), but i think the only reasons Noni is there is because he's a natural replacement for Saka should be be subbed or get injured. The others can't fulfill Saka's role. That, and he's a Premier League Champion now. (Wooooot!)

FIFA messed up the format with 104 games. But you eventuality need to go through good teams to win the competition. England are 3rd and Germany 7th as outright winners on betting markets. These are good teams

Qwiss That was maybe true two years ago but what has he done since his move to Real Madrid? He's coming off a poor season and he needs to be carried because he can't defend. He's always been a player who plays for himself first and foremost. Tuchel probably looked at the Bayern game in Champions League and saw Diaz walk past Trent like he wasn't even there and figured it's the last thing he needs in a cup tournament. If you leave Palmer and Foden at home for being crap then you have to hold Trent to the same standard.

Most countries would kill for the squad Tuchel has picked. World class striker and attackers and midfield. The defence is fine. A bit of luck and a lot of team spirit will get them a long long way.

i read somewhere that england would most likely face france in the quarters if they both did what they're expected to do, but apparently that's wrong. their most likely QF opponent is brazil and they should make light work of brazil. so at a min england should make the semis. and france and spain would be on the other side. so it goes from me thinking they can get their heads cracked by france in the quarters to actually only potentially facing them in a final.

England has had a series of favorable draws that have made them look better than they are.
The winner of France vs Spain (in the quarters, I think) will win the tournament.

One thing I quite like about him is he is quite blunt about why he has made his decisions. He'll be judged at the end whether they are right or wrong but fair play he says what he feels and it is quite funny seeing journalists who can probably write shit about him struggling to respond after he answers them.

Qwiss Trent, Wharton (for Henderson) and Hall are the obvious ones for me. I also thought about Maguire, but after his comments it's obvious that he'd be poison in the dressing room if he wasn't starting so it's a good omission.

Too bad MLS didn't feature earlier in the season, the way he's playing now he'd be an option at least.

Rice, Noni and Saka playing/scoring the WC final leading them to glory would be the perfect season for them, providing we win the CL too, on par with Vieira and Petit
