And I'm pretty sure that most Arsenal fans don't bother wasting their time watching dull sides like Blackburn if they can help it. How many of the 60,000 fans on matchday do you think watch more than one game that week? Most people just get home after the pub and turn on MOTD, at best.

He's been over here 4 1/2 years. In Arsenal games alone that's 9 or 10 times we'd all definitely have watched him play. Throw in a few Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool/City/Spurs Vs Blackburn games here and there that people will tune in to, the odd cup game that catches the imagination, a few extended highlights, MOTD etc, etc. In general I think it's fair to say most would have seen more than enough of him to form a decent opinion.

Well I did say in games NOT involving Arsenal. In games against he played in. If they only watched him in the big games, they'll have watched his horror show against Utd earlier in the year, and another one against Spurs.

I actually think a few people have watched his mini-feature from MOTD against Wolves and are basing their opinion on that.

Anyway, I'm not really bothered if most Arsenal fans will be happy with him - all that proves is that most Arsenal fans (and football fans in general) don't know what they're talking about.

I just don't think we should spend £20m on a player that won't improve us a jot in the forthcoming season. Now that Jones is off to United it's a moot point anyway, but I think it would have been entirely the wrong thing to do even if we had gotten him for what we bid.

according to you, so is koscielny (and he very well might be). that doesn't mean we should start jones and koscielny next season. there are a lot of good young players out there, we can't have them all, certainly not at one position. that's partly why we got in this mess in the first place.

as for samba, maybe wenger thinks we'll goto basketball-style subs, and we can just sub samba in for set pieces. because i otherwise have no idea why we'd be remotely interested in this guy.
