Did the commentary explain the basis of the decision? I was watching on mute so all that happened is that I saw about 8 replays of the defender kicking Eze's foot without getting the ball and then the referee signaled "no penalty". I don't really understand what I just saw.

No, not really. The only thing I enjoyed was an obvious improvement in our play from the back. We are really horrible at attacking and creating, there is no excuse for that.
After yesterdays game everyone was saying we are much more better at defending, but we conceded 18 shots, over 2 xG and if Atlethico had quality of forwards we watched yesterday this game wouldn't have ended as it did today.

I'd be inclined to continue with Mosquera ahead of white, who hasn't looked comfortable for some time.

Really solid performance but absolutely robbed on both decisions there. The Ben White I can kind of get my head around, the rules are shit rather than bad ref but Eze was a stonewall penalty. Can't believe they actually overturned it, one thing is for it not to be given and then going along but to actually overturn the on field decision is astonishing.

Man we need Timber back, Ben White needs the summer to get himself into some kind of shape because he looks well off it.

The positive thing is that even with them raising their game in the second half, it still looked very doable for us.
