I'm done defending Havertz. While he offers more to the attack than Gyokeres - those moments were fucking awful.
He had 4 huge moments, and Gyokeres last week had similar moments where he completely missed a header, was running to the edge of the box only to cut back on to his right and hit it wide, and the moment inside the box where the ball fell loose and he completely skied it.
How the fuck do we find these type of strikers? Smith, Wright, Anelka, Henry, Bergkamp, van Persie and Aubameyang - what have we done to you to deserve this?
I have been big on Havertz but he just misses way too many chances. I remember thinking in the early 2020's that Chelsea aren't the force they once were because they had Havertz instead of Drogba or Costa - and how fucking great that was. Then we bought him (to play in midfield) and bought Madueke (to play on the left). Where both players are Championship level.
Someone needs to put a fucking leash on Arteta and stop him from entering any transfer target discussions. Obvious problem with that is - he just won't play them if players are forced on him (as seen with other managers in a similar predicament).
