USArsenal Thought our last minute winner v Sporting was gonna spur us on, but it just didnt do anything.

It probably just fatigued the team more. Could do without the 2nd leg. This game should have been prioritised as next week should be too.

i genuinely don't believe the manager should have a say in who we buy. just like he doesn't have a say in who the academy produces. he should have a style of play and a profile of player that he wants and then the scouts and berta should find those players. more mosquera type signings and no maduekes.

too many people being involved means no one is responsible for failures. you think bournemouth's coach has any say in the players they acquire? if it was up to him i doubt kroupi and rayan would even be on their team because how would he even know who they are if he's actually doing the job he's paid for? when you give the manager that kind of power you end up wasting hundreds of millions on premier league trash because that's what he knows.

We were awful today and well beaten but today isn't the problem. We have been in bad form since December and we haven't seemed to be able to change it. You could see it coming even when we picked up results the level wasn't good enough and it's coming out.

I felt before today that the way we win the league is if city were shitter then us because I just didn't have confidence we could win it ourselves. It's still possible they could give that to us but I think we are worse then even I thought.

the attack isn't worse than i thought. i don't really rate any of them. the defense is worse than i thought though. i've always suspected that they are little overrated because of how we systematically protect them (usually) and wilo and big gabi always having a clanger ready in the chamber, but not this bad.

tazmania It's gonna be awful. They should be going there to win to prove a point that they deserve the title by beating them at their place.

But they'll be scared shitless, fail to play positively and cowardly passing it back until City score. Thereafter they'll fail to build any kind of momentum to manage an equaliser. It'll be slow horseshoe build up hoping for a set piece to save us and we'll end up losing 3 nil.

Rinse and repeat every season until we get a new manager.

oh you're going to be disappointed when they return. we have evidence of what they have to offer. i mean timber and hincapie will make us more defensively solid (and that's important because it's the only way we'll scrape together enough points to limp over the line), but we don't have anyone returning that will make us better in attack and score goals.

We play ugly, constipated football by our own choosing. Arteta's a limited coach and his own awful attacking signings are going to end him.

Pep has Arteta figured out. Even Bournemouth followed his gameplan and he had no response to it. We got lucky with the penalty.

who says arteta can't talk to them? i'm sure he learned all about mosquera after berta told him that's who he wants to sign for backup CB. and read the research on his family and everything because he knew about mosquera's brother when they showed up for the presentation. but it wasn't arteta scouting mosquera and saying yeah i want that guy. that shouldn't be a part of his remit. if he knows about all these players before hand then he isn't doing his job during the season. the players he will have direct knowledge of show up on opponent film and on the field and that's very limited.

My one concern is we did what we did in Carabao final. And fail to beat that half assed 4 man press they kept killing us with. That was incompetence
