I'm looking to get a list of some good docos together, so I thought I'd see if you guys knew of really good ones. I watched some crackers recently:
The Corporation - About the rise of big business
Inside Job - The most fascinating doco about the GFC and the morally bankrupt incentive culture of financial institutions I've seen. Narrated by Matt Damon. You may extremely pissed off by the end though.
The Ascent of Money - 6 part series from about the history of our financial system. Puts it into context with world events, too
Fat Head - If you've ever seen Super Size Me, this movie debunks about 90% of what Morgan Spurlock was spouting
Life - The definitive BBC animal doco series made in 2009, narrated by the one and only David Attenborough. Try and get a hi def copy, it's well worth it
Good copy, bad copy - A recent doco about the online piracy industry.
The Real Football Factories - Danny Dyer's series about football hooliganism
Undercover Mosque - According to this undercover repoart, many supposedly moderate islamic institutions in the UK broadcast extreme islamic teachings in secret.
