Klaus Merino has looked more effective further up the pitch for us (striker or #10). He’s too slow (both straight-line and turning speed) to be effective as a box-to-box/double-pivot. He’s better up front with his end product. So I’m not sure Bruno affects him… but there are indeed a lot of bodies in ‘front four’ positions for us and a couple will need to go.

Dom nah, ever since 2014 playing for the Brazil NT is an automatic handicap. Even Vini Jr looked pretty average this tournament but will be back on it once the club season starts.

Vinicius and Martinelli are the only ones who've looked good. I was set on offloading Martinelli, but a god like Ancelotti using him in a surprising and imaginative way has hopefully given Arteta new ideas on how to best make use of him.
Dom I thought Bruno looked great throughout the tourney. Clearly the penalty wasn't great but he was always looking to break lines and progress play and joined the attack with some late arriving runs into the box that would fit in perfectly with our setup. He definitely misplaced some passes in the buildup but he was also building up next to Casemiro so I am not going to really hold that against him. He also looked great against anyone pressing him - was the picture of calm at all times.
