Seeing more and more rumors linking us to the German left back Nathaniel Brown (Frankfurt) and Ayyoub Bouaddi (Lille). I’ve always been in the bag for Bouaddi since I saw Ben Mattinson tweet about him. He’s got 64 appearances in Ligue 1 already as an 18 year old and is just so composed on the ball for his age and size. He is more of a defensive midfielder from what I can tell but definitely would be good Rice cover or could play alongside him. He looks like the type of player who costs 100m in a year or two. I’d still rank my CM choices at Anderson first, Fernandes second but he’d be right there at 3 and he’s so much younger than those two so the sky’s the limit.
Brown I don’t know much about other than highlights but he looks like the pacy, flying left back profile that we lack while also being good defensively. Bayern is interested in him too so prying him away from them would be a nice coup. If we are moving towards a Rogers or Eze profile on the left wing, an overlapping left back will be essential.
