Not all games do - the only meaningful outcomes in the final standing is European qualification and relegation. From 9th to 17th, the final league position is meaningless, so if teams have nothing to play for come the final stretch then their games carry no jeopardy and aren't as competitive as earlier in the season when there is something to play for.
Also, the results in the CL league phase do contribute to the knockout stages. It directly impacts whether you play all the second legs at home or not (if you finish in the top two), which gives you a huge advantage like it did us last season. So the idea that it doesn't contribute in any way is also false.
If you're consistent in applying your standard to league games - then fair enough - but there's a whole host of PL games against weak opponents that carry no jeopardy. So those goals by your standard should also be discredited.
