awooga83 People seem to be discounting the fact our attacking output for a title winning side was quite a bit out of what those teams normally achieve. 71 goals is not the number you can count on to take you to where you want consistently in my view. That should be a warning sign for us we got over the line but it was close and we were never really comfortable and it was on edge. We need to improve in that area big time.

It's so boring people saying 'but we won the league, it's amazing we weren't relegated...' whenever a criticism is levelled at the club. You can acknowledge our success whilst also being cognizant of where we can improve.
Have been meaning to validate the point you raise with data and this is how it stacks up:
Average GD for PL champions = +51 (we achieved +44)
Average GS for PL champions = 85 (we achieved 71)
So whilst our GC is superior, the GD suggests there's a shortfall in our performance that can be improved upon. And given our experience in the CL, I think there are ample indicators that our attack needs to be upgraded.
