Qwiss that's fair. Kvara usually automatically gets the nod because he shows up in most big games, but he plays for a stronger side and has never shown numbers close to Vini.

QuincyAbeyie I think its pretty close. Kvara is coming off a better season but Vini has had higher highs. Very, very close though. Getting either would be an absolute dream. On the right the only wingers who compare are Olise and Yamal. That's the level we're talking, Saka is in the next group.

I wouldn't be surprised if Perez wants Diomande's transfer fee plus the €30 million Vinicius reportedly asked for in wages; spaniards love symbolism.

Think there's little doubt he'd be either the most or the second most expensive player since Neymar though, so it seems pointless on our part to draw a hard line. If you're willing to pay €130 million you're willing to pay €150 million too. If a deal is there to be had this summer we'll have it. Insane to think about.

Klaus if we cheap out on the fee and lose him over that I'd be furious. Other things are out of our hands but this is a deal you just get done. I think Josh knows that though, this would be about more than what happens on the pitch. It'd be a statement of intent and big push for Arsenal as a brand (which is how the Kroenkes think).

Qwiss Yep, we'd earn it back very quickly too. A transfer like Vinnie would move Arsenal up a tier as a club. That's what Neymar did for PSG and what people miss when they say he didn't fulfill his potential. For PSG it was the best deal they've ever made.

The main reason players like Vini (or Haaland, Mbappe, Yamal etc) are important, is that they are pretty much always defended by two players. One marking and one covering. That opens up much more space for the rest of the players, and you have a cascade effect that opens up the play.

Kel Varnsen Saka hasn't seen 1v1 coverage in the last 3-4 seasons on the right and the fact that teams would have to pick their poison between Saka and Vini is mouth watering on its own. I think opening up those dynamics would be enormous for our attack, regardless of the type of output that Vini can provide.

Kel Varnsen And when you think about it we already a player like in our team in Saka, a guy who is double/triple marked because teams know he is the heartbeat of this team and makes us tick, if they stop him that is 75% of our threat gone. Imagine having another like that on the other side. If you look at PSG or past City/Liverpool they have had serious threats down both sides meaning you can't just put all your defensive resources on one side.

people need to be patient about transfers, the reason why alvarez, vini, konsa etc. there's hardly any news because they either just returned to training or aren't even yet plus the combo of their clubs being tough negotiators so unless it's a situation like idiots like chelsea when you ask how much they want and they just give it, the buying clubs can wait knowing the players are on a holiday anyway....which is why the only club to actually do this stupidity is chelsea

Asterix And with Liverpool going after Barcola (at an albeit inflated price) we are left with the distinct possibility of no LW upgrade and that would be a terrible outcome considering it is the position in our attack we most need to improve on.
