Makes a ton of sense. These are the exact positions I'd want to strengthen too. Tonali and two solid players for the left wing and the right- back positions would be great, and then just sit back and be on the lookout for a madness should one emerge.

Linked again with Morgan Rogers today. I’m not a huge fan. Particularly not overly interested at the price touted, but I’d take him as a Trossard replacement

lorddulaarsenal Yep the Villa fans say that Morgan goes quiet for long spells of the season where he basically is a net negative for the team, but if you play against Real Madrid he's capable of being player of the match.

He's young so maybe he'll improve though. Could be worth taking for his talent alone but feels like he might bomb for the fees that are being quoted. He reminds me a bit of early Ross Barkley in that sense.

Klaus His reputation is built on banging in a bunch of 0.01xG shots for a couple of months. I don't think he is going to repeat that ever again.

Morgan Rogers is still quite raw. The price touted is ridiculous for him.

A couple of articles now that we would sell MLS and Ethan for 100m pounds minimum combined fee. I can see that having a decent chance of happening - those two going at least - 70-80m sounds more like what we'd get.

I'd love to keep hold of Ethan though - can play centrally or wide, but then again so can Max. Slightly different types of player though. Max is more explosive.

But we probably do need sales to fund our Kvara bid....

Asterix wouldn't keep Ethan in that scenario. Both him and Myles are fun players but the later is more versatile and has the more unique skillset.

Gurgen he scored 8 and assisted 10 in the league last year. He's Scored the same so far this year but with less assists. I don't think he's a flash in the pan, that's his level and at 23 he could improve. I wouldn't say no to him for £60-70 million but he's not really filling a gap we have in the squad unless someone leaves. I think think he'll go elsewhere but he's a very good player who seems a bit underrated on here.

Can't see Rogers doing much against the low blocks we're facing either. He's perfect for a counter attacking team like Villa.

Not my point anyway. Rogers' greatest ability is running with the ball into space which would be nullified playing for us so can't see what he would bring.

Qwiss he's a good player but in my view not worth the crazy money. He's being marketed as the second coming of Wayne Rooney and that he is not.

I really don't want to lose Ethan, I think he'll be a perfect replacement for Havertz in the first team squad within a season or two. We just need to be patient with him and find him a better loan. Who was the genius who thought he would start for Marseille?

Gurgen he's definitely not that and people saying he should be ahead of Bellingham for England are mad too. Villa are asking £80m which sounds fair enough to me. I think they'll get close to it. Like I say he's not needed here unless someone unexpected leaves but I'd have no problem signing him if we needed a 10.

we just need to do what real madrid would do with ethan and MLS. sell them and have a buy back clause. nico paz at como is in demand, but if real madrid wants him they can pay 8 or 9m euros to get him back. selling the player is better than a loan because the buying club is now committed to developing the player as their own.

Only problem is - if there is a low buy back clause, then you can only demand a similar selling fee. That's fine if the player turns out great, but there's just as great a likelihood the player doesn't improve enough to warrant buying back and then you end up having left money on the table.

well if it was me I would be more concerned with them coming good and having to watch them ball out for a rival (see chelsea having to watch two of the greatest premier league players in history turn out for liverpool and manchester city) than if they end up being mid and getting to say haha we got 40m for that dud.

In Nwaneri and MLS's case 50m+ atleast.
