Also, just on valuations - we just need to accept that this is what it is now. It's like house prices, someone comes in to a desirable area with limited availability and buys for 20% above market and suddenly that's the going rate for all houses in that area from then on. It would be folly to think for some reason in the future prices will suddenly fall, instead they'll keep going up and you'll be priced out or forced to pay more for something you could have bought for less 2 years ago.
There is no point whinging about it anymore because a £50m player in most of our minds is now a £100m player in reality - we just need to accept that and move on. I think people (and maybe also the club) are struggling with this because it has happened quite quickly - we've just gone from accepting that £20/30m (early to mid 2010's) players were £50/60m players (late 2010's/early 2020's) and now within a few seasons have to readjust again to them being £100m players.
The only guys out there who can meaningfully improve us at LW are going to be £100m+ and so we either put our money down or compromise on quality.
