Bernard Woolley Eze / Tzolis / Kroupi / Madueke is a solid LW rotation (obviously each of them play multiple positions)
Right, and this leaves out Martinelli, too. Likewise at RW we've got Saka, Madueke, Dowman and Nwaneri if he's recalled. Meanwhile at R8 we've got Ødegaard, Eze and Merino with Havertz, Zubimendi and Nwaneri firmly in the "he can play there" category.
To me it's actually L8 where we're now at our lightest, and it's Rice we most need to be able to confidently rotate.
It goes on. With a target such as Rogers it was already a bit tricky to see how he would offer a step change to our performances. By being strong and durable and aggressive, perhaps?
Kroupi, on the other hand … I reckon he'll fizzle out a bit wherever he ends up, but at least he's got properly great feet, which Rogers doesn't. Diomande has the feet and the stature and he's only 19 … if Rogers is worth £117m then Diomande is worth a phenomenal amount. I don't think there's the slightest chance we get him unless PSG decisively chicken out of the deal, but we might be able to get Barcola on the downswing in time to cash in on Gabi.
