MistaT Personally I never saw a very impressive passing bag with Zubimendi at Sociedad. I only saw glimpses of it but the majority of what I was impressed with in seeing highlights from him was him breaking up play, his intelligence in reading play and how effective he was at tackling.
The difference I've seen with Bruno is how quickly he looks to progress play to attacking players - either to space or directly to players. There are two other aspects of his play that have stood out to me - his calmness under pressure and his ability to time late runs into the box or edge of the box for scoring opportunities. He absorbs contact well and is a very good passer under pressure - there was a graphic going around Twitter earlier this week showing how much better he was at passing under pressure than any of our best midfielders. He also has the knack to time his runs into the box well to get on the end of balls, and he finishes well. A midfield of Rice, Bruno and Eze/Rogers really appeals to me in its balance with two ball winners, Bruno handling deep buildup play and Eze/Rogers focused on chance creation in the final third. Odegaard would fit in well too but he just doesn't have the ability the ball striking that the other two have and I'd want that if we have Bruno handling more of the buildup since I feel like he and Odegaard like to occupy similar roles in buildup.
