Gazza M yeah exactly this at the top you switch off that can be it a bit like the PSG semi first leg and we have to learn that lesson. Bayern haven't always looked great in the last two games at the Emirates but they find ways to be level dvd in the game with not a whole lot.

MLS doesn't have the pace to be an elite fullback so the sooner he can restart his midfield education the better. bayern switched gnabry on to him to take advantage of it. obviously if he's inverting and basically playing midfield then it's fine, but as a straight up fullback? nah.

And for the record, this is why Calafiori made the LB spot his own. MLS has the talent, but he lacks awareness far too often. Age and experience? Probably.. but he seems too casual much of the time.

HomeSteak MLS needs to be pulled at the break, he lost every single duel he had this first half.

Think we need to start phasing him into midfield soon because he's obviously not a defender, and he's not offering anything in attack either. I'm curious over where he'll end up with all that talent, but he's not going to have much of an Arsenal career if he settles as a leftback.

Klaus I kinda agree. I think he can put in a decent shift defensively but he needs guidance and instead of Gabby, he's got Mosquera for company this evening, who for all his talents isn't going to do that for him.

He can still attack (see his assist for Gabby M against Atleti) but yeah, his long-term future probably lies elsewhere.

We need more of a focal point in the attack I think, but I don't know who we'd pick. Martinelli up front in the second half maybe? We have to get Bayern's possession down a bit and the easiest way to do that is to occupy Upamecano.

Klaus Upameccano is one of the best man markers in the world. Better have players running from his blindside into the box

Don Pacifico Definitely. He can absolutely contribute to attacking play if he finds himself in the final third because he's excellent technically, but he doesn't create attacking moves from the fullback position like Timber or Calafiori do. There's no width with him. His thing is to fold into midfield instead, and who needs that in a game like this where we're going to be outpossessed anyway?
