Kane and Son carried them for too long. The fact that they stumbled upon two generational attacking players at the same time meant they were able to stabilise in the Top 6 at a time that the PL was growing rapidly. Now that those two are gone, they are back where they belong (8-ish to 14-ish) and it won't be long before people realise this and they are booted from the Big 6 leading to a massive crash in their commercial revenues (which tbh is way over the top for a club like Spurs).

Only thing that can save them now is a takeover.

It took me a while to figure out which end was which. That's when I felt this game was going to go well for us.

Their squad is dire, and it’s also not in the kind of shape where one or two good signings will fix it.

Guess it’s just a reflection of their status and standing in football, but it really stood out just how “meh” they are.

this game showed the impact of strengthening the centre-left channel. saka and timber attract all the overloads and have the quality between them to evade them, leaving acres of space in the middle and on the left. we created 8 big chances against spurs this way, mainly falling to eze and trossard
