From time to time I experience site outages does it happen to anyone else?
It's just this site as others are normal, I use firefox.

Is this some sinister plot to silence me on Chamakh & Bin Laden?

Unable to connect to this site all day, I tried Firefox and Chrome on two different machines.
Internet connection to all other sites ok.........

Do you have a fixed IP? If not, can you email me your IP next time you have problems, along with the specific times you were unable to access the site. pepelefrits@onemoreinthetolly.com

What I've noticed is occasional DNS failures (can't resolve onemoreinthetolly.com) that persist for a span and are then resolved.

This happens on a fairly regular basis from my work machine (happened today for 2-3 hours for example) but I can still connect from my phone.

My work HTTP traffic is largely routed through a proxy in Holland for stupid reasons outside my control, god knows what happens on that box.

Could be caused by a combination of OMT's host, OMT's DNS config and servers, and my company's setup.

This sounds exactly like my issues, which I've described in the other thread before. Well, except for all the technical bits, which I have no idea of how works. Fancy my stuff going via Holland? That'll be the day, eh? Brave new world an' that.

Right well, Occam's Razor suggests it's probably not my work's proxy or network config exactly, but something a bit more generic to do with the propagation of OMT's DNS entries by its hosting platform, or whoever Peps has the domain name registered with.

I was fiddling around with DNS snooping earlier and worked out who hosts the site. I can correctly reverse lookup the site's host from OMT's IP, and forward lookup the IP from the hostname onemoreinthetolly.com. Seemed to crap out for a while earlier today though.

We get quite a weak internet signal on the computers at work and there are times, weirdly, when the only site I can access, the only site on the World Wide Web available to me, is this one.

This happens to me quite often too - it can go half a day without letting me access the site.
