est he was a little meh against Palace too. I'll chalk it up to his apparent illness.
Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert
Yeah, he was definitely sick against Palace.. Wonder if he was still feeling the effect? I know he had a small cameo v Brighton (and scored), but he was definitely off today, and totally gassed at the end of the game.
Any updates on Gyökeres? I don't fancy going a couple of weeks without a striker. Very untimely for Sweden if he picks up an injury too.
The more boring non drama games the better. Keep going, save the energy for when we need it.
I would make whole game changes on Tue.
Any news on VG?
The idea that we can go to Burnley, score from corners and keep a clean sheet is healing some deep seated trauma.
Gunner89 this game and next week are huge in the context of the title race. We are making our opponents very nervous. Utd dropping points is good too as don’t want them to gain too much momentum.
10 in 4 for Gyokeres in the league, keep this up and he will get 15 - 20 league goals this season.
God dammit
Mirth what was it?
I'm looking forward to the international break just so these guys stay home
Mirth
Don't need him at praha
hope he is fine for sunderland
Mirth It does seem like the players are being instructed to come off for little niggles since we have such a big squad. We had the game won at halftime.
Gunner89 yep, hopefully it's like Saliba's and Calafiori's knocks from last week.
We've had injuries in every game. It's insane.
Good win, not seen the goals so can’t comment on the performance but good to see another clean sheet.
Hearing gyokeres had a good first half which is a big positive.
JazzG Hearing gyokeres had a good first half which is a big positive.
Probably his best 45 for us
JazzG He was very good. He is a lot more comfortable when he has a physical advantage over opposing center backs. That's unfortunately not going to happen every week in the Prem.
Worrying if Gyok misses any games. Merino is too slow and stodgy and our game changes drastically from front to back.
Think a backup striker is a must in January. Havertz has been out for basically a year and Jesus is finished. Can't trust either of them as far as you can throw them, and Merino is blatantly a midfielder. Berta better be working on something.
Klaus You can trust Havertz plenty.
Didn't get to see the game but exactly what we need to keep the pressure on our rivals and start to build that reputation of being ruthless and eroding their belief that we will slip up.
CPM Except for the last year apparently.
CPM I don’t have particularly High expectations from him, but against teams like Burnley he needs to be dominant and performing. We just have to accept against the very top defenders who can match him physically he will find it hard. That is okay though but I am glad to hear that today his general link play was very good as he needed to improve there. He has played a lot without any rest or rotation so I think the midweek rest probably helped him look a bit sharper
