There's been a fair bit of talk about this being an easier period where we can steal a march on our rivals, but apart from City and Liverpool going head to head at the Etihad, it doesn't look like we've got a big advantage to me.

If Liverpool roll over United, they'll have a tricky chance to inch ahead of us next weekend before we take on Palace.

If you’re going to include carabao cup fixtures then I would include CL or just leave it as league fixtures only imo.

Anyway, don’t want to ruin your thread but for me one game at a time and when we’ve done these sort of calculations/predictions before we’ve fall on our faces.

As much as i hate United, they are not a threat to us. Liverpool, however, are. I would love to see a draw in this game. That way, both Liverpool and United stay exactly where they are (3rd and 11th). While our lead at the top grows to 3 points instead of 1 point.

Both us and City play on Tuesday in CL and both Villa and Palace play on Thursday in EL.
