I think this game is a perfect example of Hanlon’s razor. It’s just sheer incompetence.
Clear pen for Gyok - Pope did not even protest! And the Gabriel handball probably should have been one too (I would have been livid if it was against us). Then throw in the hands to,the face of Gyökeres not punished, and same for Gabriel’s hit on Woltemade. The fact that they try to,then cover it up is pathetic.
Thought Jonathan Wilson put it well in the Guardian:
