tazmania I don't agree with that, Liverpool set up that game to be compact and defensive as did we. They were clearly quite content to give up their attacking threat to keep their shape. Both teams showed a lot of respect to each other, explains why it took a worldy of a freekick to separate the teams.

JazzG Yes, I thought we had a good first half in that game, but a pretty poor second. Was hoping for a quicker change-up from Arteta I guess. Hopefully he will get more comfortable with in-game changes with the squad now as we go through the season and different combinations.

JazzG their balance is off because they've brought him in with no real role that suits him. Fully agree on Trent though, people hugely underestimated how import he was for them. They've nowhere near enough creativity in that team.

Bernard Woolley I think he is learning from that and getting better with his changes and trusting his whole squad more.

Made half time subs v City and Newcastle and the subs are consistently making the difference so hopefully bit of positive reinforcement for him there lol.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Liverpool match. They looked like a bunch of strangers, very disjointed and easy to play through. Kounate looks like a player that has already checked out of Liverpool, I don't think I have ever seen him play as poorly as he's done this season.

The Galatasaray RB is a proper unit, kinda full-back that Arteta seems to like. A 6'3 duel monster that is a converted RB (from CB). He's surprisingly quite skilful on the ball.

Tactics Singo? Yeah, he's good. Was surprised when he went to Gala.

Konate is such a weird and inconsistent player.

Segway Yeah moving from Monaco to Gala is a head scratcher. So maybe he's normally not that good?

My takeaway from that Pool game highlights was how Gala's LW terrorised Szoboszlai in a way that we couldn't.

Tactics Turkish football has an insane amount of money right now for some reason. I'm not sure why. Their buying project seems similar to the Saudis but they have the added benefit of playing in Champions League.
