Rightttttt, been a good week for our Arsenal international boys, majority have had good moments and more importantly no injuries to report on (touch wood).
Back to domestic football and we are the first to play in the early KO. I’m not going on Sat but been to many 1230 PM games and it just doesn’t feel right, everything is flat until about after HT. However, we need to hit the ground running. We got a stretch of 8 games in all comps until the next International break - time to build some momentum and set the tone for the rest of the season.
I would play the same team we finished v Liverpool. I wouldn’t rush back the likes of Saka (if he is fit) that’s for sure.
Would you do anything different?
Forest have some injury issues namely Aina and Wood may or may not start given he featured in the Kiwi Aussie match down under a day ago.
Forest no doubt will be buoyant after a new managerial appointment. How will Ange set up? Will it be gung ho Premiership Ange or the one that was a lot more cautious in European games? Whatever happens we must resist their ‘new manager bounce’. Zinny on loan with Forest but won’t be able to play.
Liverpool game seems like an eternity ago but we must put things right on Sat with a win. Gyokeres under pressure to score following 3 blanks since his brace v Leeds. Hopefully Madueke can take his recent good form to this game too.
Finally, welcoming back Edu to the Emirates, despite him been shown up by Berta, I still expect a warm response from the home fans. Good Football director or not, he will always remain an Invincible.
