TBH, looks like Martinelli was doing Martinelli things in the Brazil game. Chile were pretty terrible too. Lots of work, and not a lot of end product.

Qwiss Has Madueke pissed you off for the last 3 years? No. We hardly watched him week in week out playing for a different team.

Madueke comes into Arsenal on clean slate v Mart who has baggage.

Sure Madueke cost £52m but he’s going to have more time allocation from the fans this season simply because there is no baggage in an Arsenal shirt than Mart who has run out of any cash in the bank he once had with majority of us.

Fans will be more forgiving for Madueke than Martnelli this season so once and for all stop comparing them. Their cases are not the same in the slightest.

Qwiss most fans I speak to can’t stand him and are tired with the head down a blind alley approach. Guy has completely regressed and is in a massive lull he can’t get out of. Should have sold him this summer.

Sicario2 it's not really true. He was quite good second half of last season. Scored in big games and stepped up when Saka was out.

I will say that I have enjoyed Raphina's renaissance. I know he's not an entertainer like the three you listed, but he got into the goals very impressively last year. His 34 goals beat Ramario's 32, and he bested him for assists as well.

Qwiss was very hit and miss and was missing v PSG when he should have scored.

Great he scored in Madrid but pressure was slightly off when we already were up.

Overall he is trajectory is downwards.

That performance from Martinelli looks like Nico Williams performance for Spain and everyone wanted to spunk 100 million for him. Martinelli isn't perfect but he gets criticized for everything these days

well i said it was a mid performance and i never really felt that nico was much of an upgrade (if that) on martinelli and said as much multiple times here. all the wingers people wanted to replace him with have even less end product.

@Meatwad I hope the scouts (if there are any left) do a better job than sorting the Whoscored list of players by goals and picking from the top. They should identify wingers who will do well for us, which doesn't necessarily need to be wingers with high end product for their current team. Raphinha never got close to Mbeumo's numbers in England, but there's a reason there was a lot more interest for the former. Same with Dembele. Salah has scored more in each of his Liverpool seasons than he ever did in a season before he got there. Hell, it's how we got our greatest ever player.

i don't get paid to scout. i'm passing judgement on them the same way i do martinelli. if i'm not impressed i say so. if you have better insight you should get paid.

raphinha scored 11 goals with a team that finished 17th. salah scored almost 1 in 2 in serie a. his serie stats and age profile back then are similar to a bukayo saka now, actually a little better than saka's.

thierry was being used incorrectly as a winger and he wasn't very good at juve and would have been more of the same at arsenal if we bought him to be a winger, but wenger had better insight. now if you want to say nico's numbers are mediocre on the surface because he's being used incorrectly and mikel is going to work his magic and turn him into a striker then have at it.
