He has the right aggression to make it at the top. Somehow he's just as nuts and erratic as Calafiori too: both of them were combining in the attacking third just before Saka scored. He was the one who whipped in the cross where Timber messed up what should've been a winning goal against Chelsea too. Incredible engine and work ethic.

I like Hincapié but he's very rough around the edges. His wafting final balls remind me of Clichy. On the upside he's a more positive force than Kiwior.

It would be brilliant to have Calafiori fit and firing for the big clashes this season.

I don't agree when we are attacking. I think he's a better defender but he hasn't shown the passing range of Kiwior.

I like Hincapie at CB but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Arteta make a trademark left back signing again this summer.

I think he will settle more next season He's still young, a little raw but has a lot of tools. Big Gab was a bit the same when he arrived. He was brilliant, but also prone to gaffes, and he's matured into one of the best CB's in the world. Hincapie has a lot to like about his game too. And he's big, strong, quick, and pretty easy on the eyes, much like Calafiori is. Lol.

Not convinced by Hincapie if I’m honest. I can see the attraction and potential, but I’m not convinced that’s worth the £50m or so we’d need to pony up for him.

Tam we sold Kiwior for _25m IIRC - at this point, I don't think Hincapie is much better than Kiwior and the fee does seem high.

He is however 2 years younger and in his first season so I am hoping he can add some more dimensions to his game over the year or two

We're paying that for him, whether we want to or not. I reckon there's a bit of financial downside on the deal but not too much. He lacks Calafiori's class and creativity, but he doesn't look out of place among the elite.
