Decent enough draw with a good mix of "stronger" teams and supposed "weaker" ones. Some tough games. We obviously always get knocked out by Bayern. It's always a bit amusing to us Aussies to hear Europeans complain about 6 hour flights or whatever. Six hours is a short flight. Although I asked the question, I expected him to say Turkey for that very reason just surprised he say there are numerous countries worse than them. Israel are currently committing and for decades have been committing the same crime Turks did a century agoto Armenians.

Saying there are multiple countries in Uefa which are not only as bad as Israel but much worse is a stretch unless we want to bring in Germany and others involved on the other side in WWII. Not to mention the colonial empires of the past which committed atrocities across Africa and Asia.

Big Willie Not having a pop at anyone, quite the opposite. For me on the one hand the Israeli state and people are accountable for the massacre in Gaza and in another way, Europe, the United States and its allies are accountable and in another way, those who govern the Arab neighbours of Palestine that have been pushing the Abraham Accords are accountable. This isn't a way of saying "it's complicated", but it makes a mockery of setting up a hierarchy of better or worse nation-states, it's also the system of nation-states that has been at fault all along.
