It must be annoying to start managing a squad just after a transfer window has "slammed shut".

Asterix they had to wait until window shut. If they'd brought in Ange before the deadline all the players would have put in transfer requests in an attempt to save their hamstrings.

Burnwinter Anges is football is questionable in the Premier League anyway but without a chance for him to sign some players to make it work its going to be a horror show.

A bit worried that he'll get a new manager bounce though. He's a strong personality who gets quick buy in from the players and it caused a very good run at Spurs in his first few months.

It's a nice quirk after the blizzard of "Arteta's too negative" following Anfield that our next opposition has installed the one manager alive who'd probably play a 2-2-5-1 at the Emirates. It's gonna be funny if Arteta sets us up compact for the counter at home.
