Meatwad Maddening. Think this is one thing Arteta still has left to learn: attack is the best kind of defence. We lost to Pool and drew against Sunderland for more or less the same reason.

Can't blame him in the bigger picture obviously when he's 4 points ahead of the pack in the league, but what will he do if we find ourselves in a cup final?

Klaus this is a big concern about his approach, so far in those pivotal points his instincts seem more cautious and that's still what I worry about in this season. We've looked good going into February before we need to have this kind of lead at least by that point and then we can start looking at can we deliver.

Klaus you’ve been spot on about Isak. Been paying more attention to him post move and he’s not scored before Liverpool’s title charge came to an end. I imagine he’ll go on a run once the pressure is off

Even Pep doesn't have his attackers press constantly. All the space they've found today has been from dropping off into a mid block and winning the ball back a bit deeper.

Sicario2 I mean you can also say we had to pull it back against city and lost to Liverpool. The real test is arsenal's credentials is consistency which we've failed over previous seasons.

Sicario2 we are. I fancy us to win the league by April but I'm waiting until the next 4 league games to be more confident

Mirth Yep, he goes on a great 3-month run every season to cover up the fact that he has done very little before then. Expect him to score 15 in 15 efter Christmas when Liverpool are already 12 points behind in the title race.

He's basically useless when he doesn't get space too. Barely creates anything, never puts in a shift. He works best when he has someone else who can take responsibility for the game next to him. That's Gyökeres for Sweden and used to be Murphy/Gordon for Newcastle. I don't expect him to work out at Liverpool in the short-to-medium term unless he has Gakpo on the pitch, which means Slot is gonna have to bench either Salah or Ekitike.

Would have preferred a draw. But on the bright side, at least this means Liverpool should be well and truly done and dusted.

Also the bright side of City winning is that, although they're powering through, they look vulnerable. More than that though, this may just be, just maybe, the season the FA deduct those bloody points. We can only pray.

Big Willie Champ forget points deduction. I don’t want to be handed any freebies. I want to win this title fair and square with no ‘but’. It will feel ten times better winning it v City with no them having no points deduction. Let’s do this shit the old fashioned way.
