Qwiss there’s part of me thinks that, setting performances aside for the sake of argument, dropping points to City, Liverpool and possibly Newcastle isn’t the end of the world when it comes to determining the title at the end of the season. Liverpool and City dropped a lot of points to us at times and still won titles, but they did so on the back of strong records against the remaining 15 league teams. I’m just not confident we are good enough yet to sustain the kind of pace we’d need against the rest if we aren’t taking points off direct rivals.
