unprecedented access for player wages (cost far more than transfers) and a completely settled backroom from txiki to soriano etc.
example - Haaland went for 60m in transfer fees but obviously insane wages, sign-on and commissions
Just imagine in an environment where messi, ronaldo etc. used to do 3-4 year deals to constantly re-negotiate for better wages, he signed a 10 year contract effectively leaving him no room to renegotiate in his prime.
Unless he is offered something astronomic
