Sicario2 I get what you're saying but I dunno man, these rivalries are what make football great. I'm not going to lie that since our club and Man Utd have lost their way I really miss that rivalry and hope one day we get to see something like that again.

I remember on Redcafe as well when I used to post there, a few Man Utd fans missed competing with us because that was what they grew up watching.

~~First assume Spurs lose at Anfield and Forest beat Fulham at home next weekend. That's far from a given, but far from implausible~~.

~~Now, if those two somewhat plausible things were to happen~~:

~~Spurs would host Forest from 2 points into the relegation zone in the couple of hours right before our Wembley League Cup final against City~~.

~~And the corollary would be that on Sunday 22 March, Spurs could descend to 5 points deep into the relegation zone while we win the League Cup~~.

~~Next weekend alone is going to be worth watching solely to see if these conditions of 22 March stack up~~.

Burnwinter your forgetting West Ham aren't you? They would need to beat Man City next weekend aswell for Spurs to be in the relegation zone when they play Forest.

Also we play West Ham on 9th May. If by some miracle we had won the league by then (and perhaps even had an FA Cup final coming up the following weekend or a CL final), how tempting is it to remember Spurs doing the Poznan in their own stadium and putting out some sort of U15s team?

I sorely doubt we'd do something like that under the current leadership, because we'd probably end up in some insane legal battle.

On the other hand it'd be the funniest thing ever, and West Ham might pay for the lawyers!

Cast your mind over this fanfic scenario that could double as the screenplay for FEVER PITCH 2: in the dying minutes at London Stadium, Declan Rice stands up to take a penalty against West Ham that will save Spurs if he scores it. Rice duly boots the ball over the corner flag before running over to the home terraces!

Burnwinter I honestly think Rice scoring the penalty in your scenario and us celebrating it would be such good a contrast to Spurs celebrating losing out on CL just to spite us. It'd convey nicely that they're barely an ant beneath our boot.
