Klaus He probably has a right to feel aggrieved if they promised him things this summer, but the bloke has scored like four league goals since March. Any other player with that form would have been sold or at the very least benched. People talked about how Salah just downed tools after Christmas last season, and he has continued that way in 25/26 too
True. Thing is the whole team has been shit. When 1 player is off form you can blame the player. When the whole team has seemingly downed tools, serious questions need to be asked about why that is, and I'd start at the manager.
Thing is, Salah has been in poor form and he's been bemched while his other strike partners have mot done any better really, Ekitike aside. Wirtz starts every game and has not had a single goal involvement. They are clearly scapegoating him. Acting out in this way is wrong, certainly. But if the manager is trying to hang you out to dry (despite everything you've given the club over the years), especially by a dick like Slot, then I'd probably be pissed off myself.
Put it this way, if it was Klopp doing this, he'd have a lot more goodwill in the bank to get away with benching him, and I'd have less sympathy for Salah. Slot on the other hand (even ignoring his shitty personality and all his bullshit excuses) who's only success in his short time at the club was rocket launched by Salah, does not get that luxury. More so when the guy has lost so many games already this season. Nah fuck that guy.
QuincyAbeyie it's entirely possible to think Slot is doing a horrible job and that Liverpool would be better off if he was fired and that what Salah is doing now is unacceptable. Which it clearly is.
That's true. But if I were a Liverpool fan, I would 100% side with Salah. As an Arsenal fan though, I hope this drags out forever, and they stay stuck with both of them. Wouldn't want to see them make any money off a sale and get his wages off the books, and I certainly don't want Slot sacked, he's doing too good of a job for all other clubs.
