We have a defense in place that can allow us to play like that without needing everyone behind the ball anytime we lose it.

jones I pointed that stat out a few days ago, it shows that our team doesn't attack quick enough. I've been banging on for months that Odegaard slows down our football and even when we signed Madueke said he will help us attack a lot quicker and more direct. Nobody is saying that our football doesn't need to improve but this idea we play boring unimaginative football is just lazy analysis. I think the addition of Zubimendi will be key, he is always looking to make the right pass forward but also Gyokeres who's instinct is run at defenders and even Madueke who imo will carry the ball a lot quicker over large distances and is always happy to take a risky dribble.
