Players that look lazy/disinterested but are genius is not a new thing but I kinda feel like with Eze the lack of intensity it is to the point that it is holding him back quite abit. I don't think Diaby's shout that 'without the Spurs hattie there would be a few raised eyebrows' is a bad one.

Eze and Odegaard have both contributed to us winning points but, to be blunt, neither has been good enough.

The game dies when Odegaard gets on the ball and Eze is often too passive and is struggling against low blocks. I'm giving Eze a lot of leeway until spring though.

Regardless of today, since he got hauled off at HT vs Villa, he’s only played 57 mins in the league and in the league cup. He’s clearly in Arteta’s bad books for now

Odegaard was always the better midfielder. The Aston Villa game made it clear that Trossard is the better winger. He will have to content himself with being a tactical option for when we're chasing a game as well as getting cup minutes and garbage time minutes here and there.

Mirth Yeah, not defending in a reliable way against the Villa RB has clearly unnerved Arteta.

Gonna go against the grain here but if Arteta has seen what Eze did (or didn't do, as it were) against Villa and disliked it enough to lose alot of trust then fair enough. We've become completely unrecognisable defensively from some of the shit we've witnessed over the last 20 years and cutting out stuff like that has played a big part in it. Eze needs to understand this and if being temporarily frozen out is the way to that end then so be it.

Lukazan agree with this. Eze has been good in parts and he will come good again especially in business end of the season but he is a bit too nonchalant. Plays like Bernatov did with a cigar in his mouth which is Arteta’s worst nightmare.
