We barely have any connections on-field, no telepathy between players. It will be counter intuitive to break the only decent understanding we have by moving Saka. Odegaard may as well drop himself.

A player like Saka needs more freedom, think he gets even more stuck on the left.

Instead of adapting his role (keep him higher up) our team approach (more forward passing, off ball runs), or what his flank (partners) do (let FBs defend/cover for Saka), we're going to move our only reliable offensive weapon to a new position?

From a squad POV how will it work though? Merino becomes back up striker and Eze is LW or back up for Ode/Rice?

If it’s the former we will have 4 LW’s on paper which seems bloated
