The thing is nobody knows everyone. So their can't be a credible source.
Even when you chat to agents they don't know what deals are going to happen a club could be looking at 6 CM targets and pretending they're really interested in all of them. They can't be like you're number 6 if the shit hits the fan we might end up with you.
And a player could be chatting to 5 clubs leading them along trying to get the best deal. And in the last minute a new club comes in and he goes their. It's all smoke and daggers.
