JazzG he looks as fast as quite a few at the top of that list to me. Top speed is a bit of an odd stat though, arguably acceleration is more important, maybe deceleration too.

True about acceleration, how quick you are over the first few yards much more crucial than long distance. Wonder if there are any accurate stats on player acceleration.

Not even joking: going by the numbers Gyökeres is addicted to repeat sprinting. He's going to burn his way through a few less mobile centre halves like short candles.

Burnwinter He's quick as hell, and he moves fast with the ball too, which is one of the reasons the opponents hated him so much in Portugal. Guys who are built like him aren't supposed to have that kind of pace. Look at the goal he scored for Sweden against Belgium - he just sets off and leaves their entire team behind. Add the dribbling and the hard shots with little backlift on top of it and you've got a cheat code player.

He obviously is big and imposing, but I recon opponents don’t realise just how strong he is til they face him. You rarely see players unsettle Saliba and Gabriel in the way he did against us last season.

lorddulaarsenal He loves doing that thing where he pins his defender and just let the ball roll past him. I don't even know what you'd call it. It's not taking it on the half-turn, because he doesn't actually touch it. He just shoves the defender out of the way physically with is back. Did it against Saliba last season, did it against some poor Athletic player last week who promptly fell on top of him. He's gonna roll a lot of players like that.

Klaus Lukaku loved to do that. Not a comment on how good or otherwise Lukaku was, but I recall a video he did where Jamie Carragher asked him how he liked to play and he slowly walked him through rolling the defender as the ball came through.

JazzG Couldn't do it three times in a row though. They all let the ball roll too far from them when they're lining up their shots. Only Gyökeres keeps it close. Makes it harder to aim but also harder to read.

He's shooting from right centre with his left, though. He's not going to get those angles on the left.

The best chance of Madueke being a roaring success is if he takes Saka's position. As a left winger, he's capped to being a crossing merchant.
