his main weapon is his ability to gauge when to shoot. It's elite level decision-making on that front, and with good enough supply he should be able to get loads of goals for us even if his actual shooting ability is just average.

Tnt whole look at these stats etc is key redundant.. He'll come the Arsenal and then he gets to show what he can do, it doesn't really matter about what the stats were and how you can create a story about how good he is or isn't. It always feels a bit like the arsenal dominate possession so that's why we are the best but we don't win the trophies it's pretty worthless. Just show why you are cut out for this level.

The availability thing is interesting - Berta said the same thing when we signed Madueke. Weird for the club to be quite so explicit in that being part of their requirements.

Anyways, glad this tedious saga is over. He's not the profile I would have gone for for our marquee CF but if he wins us the league, I'll get over it.

Clrnc It's a broader pattern. That welcome to Arsenal video they played for Mosquera and his family was weird and cringe. Obviously very happy with the business, and we're an Eze signing away from the best transfer window I can remember, so this is a small complaint. But we're Arsenal ffs, the culture club in London, we need to have some better aesthetics than this. At the very top level, it helps to have some aura and mystique. We're still heavily reliant on memories of the Wenger years.

Basically confirms that under Edu, Sesko was the first choice but Berta pushed for Gyokeres. Also that signing Gyokeres will mark a change in the way we play.

Also Gyokeres turned down every other approach for him from other clubs.

Mirth Two opposite approaches to football. Always got the feeling that Edu was happy to build value by investing in players with resale potential. Berta wants to generate value by being sucessful on the pitch.

The latter is how Bayern and Real and other top clubs operate. A great transfer for them is an expensive player who they'll never make a cent back on. They pay for the performances, not the resale value.
